Most private trainers teach your dog a set of commands. You drill them for a few weeks, your dog performs on cue, and then real life happens: a full house, a delivery at the door, a walk past a reactive dog on leash, and none of it holds.
We believe in building calm, confident dogs - in real world environments.
Behavior changes when you understand what's driving it, not when you memorize a script. At SCC, every private session happens in your home, in the environment your dog actually lives in. You're not handed a trained dog at the end. You're taught to read your dog and lead the training yourself, so it keeps working long after the six weeks end.

We offer private training for puppies and adult dogs
One private program, built for your dog
Puppies and adult dogs are starting from different places, and we don't run them through the same script.
Puppies - still forming their habits, so we catch things early, before they turn into problems.
Adult dogs - already have a story, so we start by learning it: what's been tried, what's worked, what hasn't.
Then we build from there.
This isn't a list of commands you drill on your own. Every session happens in your home, with the real stuff that trips dogs up: the doorbell, the stairs, the kids running around, the neighbor's dog barking through the fence. You're not just watching your dog get trained. You're learning how to read them, so the progress doesn't disappear the moment I leave.
I only work with a small number of private clients at a time, and the earlier you start, whether that's a puppy building good habits or an adult dog you're ready to finally understand, the easier the work is. Spots fill fast.

A few quick notes…
Capacity is limited. I take a small number of private clients at a time, because the program only works as designed if your dog has my real attention. When spots are full, I keep an active waitlist and I'm happy to add you to it.
Not every dog needs six weeks of private training, and I'll tell you honestly if a group class or a different format fits your situation better. If it isn't the right fit, I'll point you toward what is.
